考試引導教學的弊病

No Child Left Behind (N.C.L.B.) 計畫要求學生定期接受考試,太多學生未能通過考試的學校,將會受到輔導、補助金額也要變少。

結果大家的教學方式都改成記憶為主,反正背多分,先求能過最重要。使得教學失去活潑性,甚至,學生也因而失去自信心。

這似乎是考試引導教學必然產生的弊病。

不過,到底要讓學生自由的學習,或是讓他們在畢業後擁有一定程度的知識?這真是兩難啊!

即便像全人中學這樣體制外的學校,後來也不得已的要求學生要擁有基本能力 (所以有了必修科目),就是因為他們發現讓學生完全自由的學習,學生很快樂,也很有自信,但是畢業時卻有許多畢業生未能擁有基本知能,因而開始有了這樣的限制。

到底哪樣的教學方式才是好的?很難抉擇啊!
